Broken - LBC Post

This week's LBC topic 'Broken' was suggested by our member Will Knott who, will probably not (ha! bad joke) be posting today as he's on a sabbatical from our group.

As a person who has multiple projects to finish before the year end, I nearly decided to give this post a miss, but in the end I realized that if I would like this group to continue (which I would!) then it is imperative to continue to post.  So what if I'm busy?  The tried and trusted formula of a photograph and a Tweet sized summary of the given topic has seen me through before.  It will do so again. I must visit my LBC friends and comment on their posts too.   So:

Just because something is broken doesn't mean that all is lost. Things can be put back together again if one has the patience to do so.

Happy New Year to everyone who reads this post.  May all your wishes be fulfilled in 2014.

Every Friday a half-dozen of us post as members of the Loose Bloggers Consortium, on the same topic simultaneously.  If you wish to check them out, their links are in the sidebar.  My thanks to All-Free Download for the photo and Lettercount for the character counting.

  1. I like your attitude Maria! I'm glad you guys are still continuing despite those of us who jumped ship. :)

  2. Clever but the contents are very realisitic.

  3. Fair play to you Maria, and your thoughts are very true!
I had an old china teaset un storage, belonging to my dear Mother (R.I.P.), but when I unpacked it, 2 of the cups had the handle broken off. I was on the point of throwing them out, but a friend (from Cavan!) said "no, hang onto them, they could have several uses..flower arrangement, sweet holder, candle holder..".
Lo and behold, they have turned out to be really useful and a lovely addition to the table, and I've now discovered people who make such things into cake stands, with the cup on top and a "mismatched" plate under! Who'd have thunk it!
All is not lost! Imagination is all you need!

  4. Thanks Delirious, I think it's great that your still visiting the group's posts. I still enjoy going to your blog.

  5. Rummuser - I'm in shock! Was that a compliment you just gave me? Wow, thanks!

  6. Thanks for sharing that story Mimi. I'm glad your mother's teaset came in useful. That's exactly the kind of thing I love to hear about.

  7. Actually Maria the topic lends itself well to short, sweet and to the point. I suspect we are on the same page.

  8. May all your dreams for 2014 be unbroken. have a goo done!
